David joins us from CB Richard Ellis, where he has worked as Vice President of Retail Services since 1999, after ten years as a land use planner assisting commercial developers in their efforts to obtain development permits. This experience in land use planning instilled a strong understanding in land use regulations, development permits and contract negotiations. Currently, the focus of David's practice includes retail investment service and tenant representation.
David is responsible for a significant amount of HSM's tenant and landlord representations. Tenant assignments include AT&T Wireless, Powells Books, Party City and Maurice’s. Significant landlord assignments include successful leasing and sale of Invesco’s Oswego Village, as well as Kimco’s Sunset Esplanade in Hillsboro, Oregon. Such assignments have created an extensive knowledge of Portland's retail investment market, as well as a strong understanding of the retail availabilities as represented tenants seek to expand their market penetration.
