Formed in January, 1993 as Heerman-Stanton Commercial Real Estate, the partnership comprised of Michael S. Heerman and Donald P. "Skip" Stanton; a union which brought together more than 40 years of commercial real estate experience. In September of 1994, the company was incorporated under the name HSM PACIFIC REALTY. Doug Magnusen joined the firm in November of 1998. Prior to working at HSM Pacific, Doug was a member of the top producing sales team at Don Morrissette Homes for three years. The company was joined in 2008 by the successful retail team of David Demers, Brock Switzer and Kara Pearson. They bring with them significant Landlord and Tenant representations, as well as an extensive knowledge of the Portland Retail Market. Spencer McCormick also joined the company in 2008.

The company was formed to better serve an existing client base of developers, owners, restaurants, financial institutions, shop tenants, grocery stores and "big box" retailers. Licensed in Oregon and Washington, this group forms the most dynamic and comprehensive retail brokerage company in the Pacific Northwest. HSM PACIFIC maintains close relationships with a number of brokerage offices throughout the western United States. In addition to HSM PACIFIC's thorough knowledge of the Portland market, the company's membership with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Chain Links gives it regional and national perspectives as well.
